SALEM, Ore. (AP) _ The Oregon Supreme Court today upheld a 79-and-a-half (m) million-dollar punitive damages award to the family of an Oregon smoker who died of lung cancer.In its ruling, the state high court says the amount is not excessive given what it calls the "reprehensible" conduct of tobacco giant Philip Morris in marketing cigarettes.Today's The decision upholds a lower court ruling.Save to My Web
